Who is behind Vlerina Haxhiraj Studio? I have never particularly enjoyed speaking about myself, yet I believe it matters to know the name and the hands behind the stories you wear. I was born and raised in Vlora, Albania, with a deep love for craftsmanship and the beauty of handmade details. Although my path first led me into the world of economics and finance — where I spent 17 years building a career in the Albanian financial sector — creativity quietly remained a constant part of who I was. At some point, I stopped ignoring the part of myself that had always wanted to create. And so, Vlerina Haxhiraj Studio was born. Not simply as a jewelry brand, but as a place where memories, symbols, emotions and imagination could become something tangible — something wearable. What inspires my creations? The honest answer? Everything. A memory. A story. A character from childhood. The sea. A forgotten object. A feeling that refuses to leave. Every collection begins with reflection — where I am in life, what I am feeling, what has quietly stayed with me. From there come the sketches, the symbols and the details that slowly transform into handcrafted pieces. For me, jewelry is never only jewelry. It is storytelling in wearable form. Why this journey matters Creating this brand was never only about fashion. It was about courage — the courage to begin again, to trust intuition, and to turn creativity into something meaningful. My hope is that each piece carries something personal for the person who wears it: confidence, memory, joy, nostalgia, strength — or simply the feeling of being uniquely themselves.
